On May 12th The Russian Art Focus Prize together with the Courtauld Institute of Art organized an online panel discussion "Inventing new scripts. The Ins and Outs of Russian contemporary art writing".

Jo Vickery, editor-in-chief of the Russian Art Focus, moderated an online discussion with:
-Dr Maria Mileeva, associate lecturer in Russian Art at Courtauld Institute of Art;
-Judith Benhamou-Huet, a French journalist, independent curator and author specialized in art and the art market, Paris;
-Christianna Bonin, PhD candidate in History, Theory and Criticism of Architecture and Art at MIT, journalist;
-Evgeny Svyatsky, member and co-founder of AES+F, Russian Artist Collective;
-Sergey Popov, art historian, curator, owner of Pop/off/art gallery, Moscow;
-Elena Sudakova, founder of Grad cultural platform, London.

In 2021 Post-soviet Russia has reached its third decade, how has Russian art criticism and journalism evolved over this time both at home and abroad? What challenges and opportunities are there today for journalists and scholars writing on Russian contemporary art?
